From preschools to primary and even secondary schools, well-designed outdoor spaces make a big difference to how students play, learn, and move between buildings. The best playgrounds embrace their natural setting, use organic materials, and encourage creative, open-ended play – rather than relying solely on fixed equipment like swings that only do one thing.
Our playground designs often include garden zones, natural turf, bark soft-fall, and minimal plastic. We aim to create spaces that invite discovery, exploration, and connection to nature. And of course, every design considers safety and complies with the New Zealand Standard 5828 for Playground Equipment and Surfacing.
Examples of our work include the Eco Centre at Redruth and Creative Corner Early Learning Centre, under construction in 2025. See our featured projects; Fairlie Primary School, Creative Corner Early Learning Centre, and South Canterbury Eco Centre.
