Landscape Architecture

Making the Most of Every Outdoor Space.

Landscape Services Overview

Good landscape design is more than choosing plants. It shapes how you arrive, move through it and how it complies with local council regulations before you apply for building consent or resource consent. A landscape plan can resolving levels, access, stormwater, outdoor structures and planting.

We work across residential, rural, commercial, education and public environments, either alongside the architectural design or as a standalone landscape project.

Our work can range from broad master planning and urban design through to detailed landscape plans, planting plans and site-specific design. This may include circulation, parking, outdoor living, retaining walls, steps, ramps, stormwater treatment, planting, recreation spaces and the relationship between buildings and the land around them.

We look at the whole site so every element has a purpose and works together. This helps create places that are practical, beautiful and compliant with zone rules applicable for your property.

Architecture and landscape under one roof

With landscape architecture expertise in-house, we can consider the building and the site together from the beginning, creating a more coordinated response that complies with local bylaws and building code.

Local knowledge, broad experience

Based in Timaru, we understand the landscapes and character of the lower South Island from inland MacKenzie basin to Canterbury plains, forested foothills and coastal regions. Our landscape work spans residential, rural, commercial, education and public projects, from private gardens through to master planning and urban spaces.

We design the whole site

We look beyond individual features to understand how everything works together. Movement, levels, views, planting, drainage, materials and the relationship with buildings are considered as one connected design.
