The owners of this family home in Timaru desired a space that catered to a casual lifestyle and strongly focused on entertaining guests. They envisioned their home as a welcoming hub with an outdoor area centred around a pool, perfect for gatherings.  They also gained views to the port to the south.

NB Architects designed the home using neutral colours and maximized natural light to create a serene and inviting atmosphere. The layout and design elements were meticulously planned to facilitate easy movement and interaction among guests, both indoors and outdoors. The strategic use of glass and open spaces ensured the home felt airy and connected to the outdoor entertainment areas, making it ideal for hosting.

This thoughtful design culminated in the home receiving praise in the Master Builders’ House of the Year awards, recognizing its excellence in aesthetics and functionality.
