Moving into a new high-profile space not only meant an opportunity for Timpany Walton to raise their profile as a leading South Canterbury law firm but to also create a purpose built space to enable staff to be able to interact better with team members and clients alike.
It was important for us to create a space that was unique to TImpany Walton – that portrayed their point of difference in the market as a modern, diverse, forward thinking law firm with a firm rural clientbase.
Due to the large expanse of windows we divided the working space into seasonal zones. The outside ‘summer’ and ‘spring’ zones, which received high levels of natural light, enabled strong access routes for wayfinding. The centralised ‘autumn’ zone was a more intimate area with defined working pods and the ‘winter’ zone offered space for the team to gather together with the incorporation of a cafe and resource area.
We worked throughout to incorporate a sense of diversity – utilising strong contrasting colours and materials. Textural tartan flooring patterns as well as timber slatted walls and ceilings connected with Timpany Walton’s strong rural client base.
